The Chef de la Maison taste test
We're proud of our taste test - free sample orders are available (for up to four people). These are popular with new corporate clients. Taste tests give you a chance to sample menus you may interested in. Usually, hand delivered by Charis, the owner of Chef de la Maison, you'll be able to discuss your specific needs so we can make it happen. Book your appointment today for your buffet sampler.

Catering for international clients
If you're organising your UK wedding or event from abroad then we can help. We have experience in organising weddings for people living abroad but getting married locally. We’ve helped organise wedding catering for people living in Hong Kong, Canada and Holland. We can discuss your needs via FaceTime and Skype, and help you organise all the details. Charis Wedgwood (Managing Director) and Nathan Higgins (Director) are the founders of Chef de la Maison. Their passion for great quality, value food ensures you’ll always enjoy tasty, fresh ingredients, a great variety and a feast for your eyes and taste buds.

Chef de la Maison was established in 1998 when Charis and Nathan were just 19. So with nearly 15 years experience of delivering high quality cuisine, you can depend on Chef de la Maison to deliver what you want, when you want it. 

The Chef de la Maison team are managed by Alison Wood (General Manager) and Claire Stanley (Kitchen Supervisor).

Charis and Nathan began catering for private events like dinner parties and barbecues when they were teenagers. As news spread of their fantastic food and great service the pair worked evenings and weekends while holding down full time jobs. Charis swapped her car for a refrigerated van and the food orders just kept coming.

The pair bought their sandwich shop in Netherton – a former butcher’s – renovated it and brought in two part-time staff. Working 17 hour days, Chef de la Maison’s great reputation began to grow, attracting a mix of corporate and private clients, many of whom still support the business today.

After moving to Canada in 2009, Nathan is still very much involved, working from overseas. Charis takes care of business development, marketing and meets existing and potential clients from her Peterborough base. The pair liaise weekly via Skype. With a committed team who are as passionate about good food Chef de la Maison remain dedicated to the future growth of the company and its number one mission – to deliver consistently fresh, fabulous, tasty food, whatever the occasion.

Charis Wedgwood, Managing Director of Chef de la Maison likes to do her part for the community. Charis is currently on the fund raising committee for Sue Ryder. She is also helping to organise a 2012 Christmas market with all funds raised going to Clic Sargent. The Chef de la Maison blog has regular news on how the team gets involved to support local charities.
